Tempad For Mac

Tempad is designed to provide a more streamlined solution for dealing with text notes: you get to pin the frequently used ones and use the powerful search tool to find entries by keywords.

Within the Tempad main window you can either create new notes (use the add button or the Command + N keyboard combination) and input the text manually, or choose to import data from a document via the File menu, or by using the Command + I hotkey.

Tempad is able to deal only with text content and tries to make the input process as smooth as possible. Each line has a number assigned so you can track content faster, as Tempad automatically highlights the selected line.

Each included entry is automatically made searchable, so you can use the “Search Everywhere” bar to find entries either by name or by the included content. However, during our tests, we have noticed that Tempad does not pull up the protected entries that include a certain keyword, even when unlocked.

Tempad assigns by default a control bar to each note that offers you the option to lock, pin, or delete the entry. The Pin tool is great when dealing with frequently used text content, while the Lock function will increase the security level.

Tempad comes with the possibility to sync your notes database for free to your iOS device using Tempad for iOS and your Google account, without the need of a monthly subscription.

Tempad also features Markdown support which enables you to create notes containing formatted text, allowing you to add bold, italic, headers and links formatting for better looking and easier to skim through notes.
