Swift Note For Mac

macOS comes with a native Stickies application that offers you the possibility to keep notes close at hand. However, using it means renouncing some of your desktop space.

Swift Note is a minimalist widget that integrates into your Notifications Center panel and enables you to hide the notes until you actually need them.

To help you get started, the Swift Note Settings panel also provides installation instructions. All you have to do is open the Notification Center panel, select the Today tab, click the Edit button placed in the bottom area, and press the “Add” button associated with the Swift Note widget.

The Swift Note widget will be instantly added to the Notifications Center panel, and you can start adding as many notes as you like.

However, each note panel has a fixed size and does not integrate scrolling capabilities, so the amount of text you can include per note is limited.

Swift Note does not allow you to adjust the text size or style and does come with support for formatting the text in any way. Still, you do get to change the note background color, but only to one of the six predefined colors.

The last function can be disabled via the Swift Note Settings window, that also offers you the possibility to hide the note “Add” button while not editing the widget in order to gain more space. Naturally, you can also remove any note whenever you like.

Swift Note is a great tool to have around if you need to have various sticky notes at hand, yet you don’t want to sacrifice any disk space.

The widget integrates within your Notifications Center panel perfectly and allows you to take a quick glance at each entry with a simple mouse click.
