SqueezeTube For Mac

SqueezeTube is a handy macOS application which is capable of fetching and adding metadata information into your movies and TV shows before sending them to your iTunes library. It also enables you to convert, tag and edit the information before saving it.

The application features a plain-looking and easy-to-use main window where you can just drag and drop your video files. Several popular formats are supported: M4V, MP4, AVI, MPG, MOV, MKV; even videos created with EyeTV recorders. Note that the M4V files are not re-encoded in the process.

SqueezeTube automatically searches your movies and TV shows on themoviedb.org and tvdb.com and displays the poster, actors, crew, year and other details, if available. Before converting the videos and sending them to iTunes, you can make changes to the metadata, as well.

The default conversion preset (Apple TV, iPad or iPhone) can be selected in the Preferences window. Additionally to this, the utility also allows you to add subtitles in the SRT and MKV formats and to play the clips right within the app. As soon as all changes have been made, you can just click the “Save & Add to iTunes” button.
