SpotiMy for Mac1.2
SpotiMy is a simple and very easy-to-use Spotify controller specially designed to help Mac users take control over their player.
Spotify is a commercial music streaming service that enables you to access digital rights management-restricted content from various record labels such as EMI, Sony, Universal and Warner Music Group. Spotify enables you to browse music by artist, record label, album, playlist or genre.
SpotiMy offers basic playback controls such as Play, Pause, Previous and Next and helps you control Spotify directly form your Mac’s status bar. Hence, every time you need to play, pause Spotify or you want to jump to the next or previous song you just have to access SpotiMy.
To start using SpotiMy you first have to click once on the Play button and wait for Spotify to launch. Next, you have to choose the desired playlist and click on the Play button once more in order to start listening to your music.
It is worth mentioning that you need to have more than one music track in your playlist in order for the next and previous functions to work. What is more, SpotiMy uses the default keyboard shortcuts of Spotify and, as a result, if you change these hotkeys, SpotiMy will no longer be functional.
It would have been useful if SpotiMy enabled its users to view the name of the currently played track in the status bar icon. Sound volume control is another practical feature that we hope to view in future updates.
As it is, SpotiMy is a light and very simple utility that provides the required tools to take control over the music played by Spotify.
