Speakapedia comes in handy to any users that needs to create podcasts using Wikipedia articles or simply wants to listen to a Wikipedia entry.
Speakapedia enables you to select the desired article just by searching Wikipedia, just like you would with a web browser. After selecting the article you can convert it to speech and import it into iTunes.
What's more, Speakapedia allows you to use the main Wikipedia picture as album art. You can filter the texts, in order to use only the main article. You can select the desired portions of text, if you want to.
The application provides a very easy to use interface and the ability to store each track as an album in iTunes. Speakapedia uses the latest speech technology advancements in order to perform state of the art reading.
From the main window you can browse all articles as well as reload the current article. You can even select a random page or search for the desired one, if needed.
In the Preferences window you can gain quick access to the system speech preferences as well as customize the software update options.
