SofaPlay is an extremely easy to use Mac app designed for users that also have a Smart TV connected to their network and want to push media content from their computer to the TV.

UPnP/DLNA multimedia streaming

The app is using the UPnP/DLNA Digital Media Renderer Standard to stream the media to the Smart TV, but the user does not have to make any special adjustments.

When launched, SofaPlay will scan the network to detect all the devices that support the protocol and stores them in a list.

Simple to use and configure

All you have to do is select the TV name from the drop down menu and drag and drop the image, audio or video file on top of the SofaPlay main window. The application will take care of the rest.

However, you get to start or pause the playback from your computer via the SofaPlay window. The same area allows you to adjust the volume level.

Powerful and user-friendly media server

All in all, SofaPlay is a great application if you want to swiftly stream media content to your Smart TV without worrying about complex settings.

In addition, since SofaPlay comes with a Lite version you can test if your device is compatible with the application before buying the app.
