Snap is a minimalist and unobtrusive macOS application that offers you the possibility to quickly launch applications by using keyboard shortcuts. The app can launch automatically at login, which means that you will always have access to the custom hotkeys.

Upon launch, Snap places a small menulet in your status bar that enables you to quickly access the utility’s Preferences where you can make sure the app will launch at login, but also define new hotkeys. Note that you can deactivate the Snap status bar menu: the app will work in the background, without making its presence known.

By default, Snaps offers you the possibility to launch applications placed in your Dock according to their order. Note that you can make your own default hotkey by using any combination that includes the Shift, Control, Option and Command keys.

In the Manual panel of the Snap Preferences tool you can create custom hotkeys to launch any utility included in the Applications directory. Simply use the Add button to select the application you want to launch, which will be added to the list. The next step is to input the hotkey you want to use in each case.

Snap offers you the possibility to quickly show and hide the windows of an application: use the hotkey once to reveal it, and press it again to hide the utility. This is extremely useful if you just need to check if a certain process has been completed, and so on.

To conclude, Snap proposes simple, efficient, and unobtrusive solutions that will help you launch, reveal, and hide apps using personalized hotkeys. As soon as you will learn all the manually set keyboard combinations, Snap can prove to be a real time saver.

What's new in Snap 1.5:
