Sharing data with others can be quite challenging if you do not have a system already set up. Simple HTTP Server is a simple app that can help you create a HTTP server for any folder and let others know what you are working on instantly.

Working with Simple HTTP Server is extremely intuitive: on launch, the app will place a small icon in your status bar which provides access to its capabilities. All you have to do is open the menu, select the “Start server” option and link to the folder you want to share.

Simple HTTP Server will take care of the rest and, when the process is done, it will display a notification window that includes the server URL. At the same time, the app copies the link to your clipboard so you can share it with others almost instantly.

Of course, the URL provided by the Simple HTTP Server app must be opened in a web browser. This way, the user on the other side is able to easily visualize the folder content, download files and more.

However, you can block the access to the folder at any time by stopping the web server: select the “Stop server” option in the Simple HTTP Server status bar menu.

Even if Simple HTTP Server does not come with complex settings or customization options, the application manages to perform its job flawlessly: you are able to share the content of a specific directory in a matter of seconds.
