Shingler is a utility for any imposition program that will help you determine how much to shingle(creep) your job.

Shingler was written in VB.net for the PC and with RealBasic for the Mac. The values used for each paper were obtained from www.paper-paper.com/weight.html. If anyone is using Metrix... you will find that the numbers they use are almost identical.

The utility uses the calculation that follows: ((Pages/ 4)-1)*thickness. The reason for the -1 in the middle of the calculation is because you do not need to shingle one of the spreads as it actually is the basis for all of the others. This is the same calculation used by Metrix.
