Satellite Eyes is a small status bar menu application that uses the macOS Location Services and your Wi-Fi connection to determine your current position and change your wallpaper with a satellite image of your current location.
The Satellite Eyes application resides in your status bar menu and does not require any user interaction: make sure your Wi-Fi is enabled, that the Satellite Eyes app is allowed to use the system’s Location Services, and the utility takes care of the rest.
Once the applications get a reading for your current location, your wallpaper will be replaced with a satellite image depicting the area. If you are running the application on an portable Mac, the wallpaper will change each time you connect to the internet using a different Wi-Fi access point.
Satellite Eyes can be a great addition to your software collection if you want to give an original look to your Mac’s desktop: the utility discovers your current location and quickly replaces the wallpaper with a satellite image.
The best part is that via the Satellite Eyes Preferences window you can quickly adjust the map style, the zoom level, and the image effect. This way, you can decide if the wallpaper images should have an artistic or realistic look.
