QuickTag For Mac

QuickTag is a small and lightweight macOS app that provides you with all the necessary tools to add descriptive tags to currently playing songs from your iTunes libraries and playlists.

This said, here are some facts: QuickTag works with all audio formats supported by iTunes, supports eight categories and eighteen attributes, it enables you to rate each track with up to five stars and to create custom music genres categories.

Thanks to its straightforward and relatively simple interface, working with QuickTag is quite easy, as the app will immediately pick-up information from any track you are currently playing in iTunes.

From here onwards, you only have to choose the genre, category and attribute, rate the app, make sure that everything is in order by viewing the displayed preview, and click the “Apply” button on the lower right corner of the main window.

In order to add your tags, genres, categories, attributes, you must simply click the plus button on the bottom part of the Preferences menu. What’s more, QuickTag enables you to import all your music genres directly from iTunes, with a simple click on the “Import” button.

By now, it is quite clear that QuickTag was designed for users that often listen to music on iTunes and want to organize their songs one by one. This doesn’t actually recommend it for users who would want to tag large numbers of songs in their iTunes libraries, as it would take forever to tag them individually without a batch tagging feature.

While it may not be much to look at, QuickTag gets the job done without fuss. With a simple interface, streamlined workflow and a good balance of features, QuickTag can shortly become one of your most used apps, if you want to keep your iTunes music well organized and easy searchable.
