Revisions is an easy to use Mac app that offers you the possibility to access the file versions in a clean, organized, and user friendly environment. To actually use the application, you must first connect to your Dropbox account and authorize the app.
Effortlessly revise your Dropbox activity and find files by applying various filters
For your convenience, Revisions comes both with a straightforward introduction, and a setup assistant designed to help you integrate your Dropbox account, and make a sum of necessary adjustments: you must provide the account type, choose the settings you want the app to remember between sessions, and how you want to view file details.
When all this is over, Revisions scans your account and displays your files in chronological order: both the ones that have been edited in the past 30 days, and the ones that cannot be restored anymore. To help you find specific files, Revisions includes a search bar, but you can also filter items by source folder, or creation / modification / deletion date.
User friendly solution for reviewing and restoring Dropbox file versions without going through a web browser
By default, the file versions stored in your Dropbox account can be visualized and managed via the app’s web interface. Revisions offers you the possibility download and restore a certain file version via an intuitive desktop application.
Noteworthy is that, within the Dropbox web interface, you can see file versions only for a specific item at a time. The Revisions app allows you to see all the recently modified documents, enables you to identify all the files modified within a specific time frame, that have a similar name, and so on.
