Quran Majeed For Mac

Quran Majeed is a handy and practical Mac OS X application designed to help you learn Arabic by reading the Quran and its translations in different languages.

Quran Majeed includes the complete Quran Arabic text with all diacritical marks displayed in the elegant Uthmanic scalable font.

With Quran Majeed, you can view side-by-side translations of the Quran Arabic text in the following languages: English, French, Urdu, Malaysian and Indonesian. Three different English renderings are provided: by Dr. Mohsin, Pickthal and Yusuf Ali.

You can even listen to English and Urdu verbal translations of the Quran text which feature professional high-quality recitations.

The font size can be easily adjusted by using a slider tool located on the lower toolbar. Also included on the lower toolbar are the buttons to play / pause the audio translation, a drop-down menu to select the desired Qari from the reciter and another drop-down menu to choose the translation language.

Audio recitation is available for seven famous Qaris: Shiekh Mahir Al Muayqali, Shiekh Mishari Rashid, Shiekh Abdul Basit, Sheikh As Sudays & As Shraym, Shiekh Mahir Al Muayqali, Shiekh Mishari Rashid, Shiekh Saad Al - Ghamdi, Sheikh Ahmed Ajmi and Sheikh Al-Huzaifi.

The main user interface includes two other drop-down menus that help you quickly navigate the Quran text. The first allows you to select the Juz of your liking and the second to select the desired sura.

When viewing the Quran text, you will see two buttons of different colors: green and grey. The green button points to the fact that audio recitation is available on your hard drive. The grey button shows that the audio can be downloaded from the web when clicking on it.
