Quick Cleaner is a straightforward OS X application that enables you to cleanse your Mac by removing all unwanted and unnecessary files such as cache files, logs, and web browser cookie and history files.

As expected from an application of this sort, Quick Cleaner doesn’t stray from the usual system cleaner principles. When you first start the application you will be greeted by a very colorful pie chart that displays used and free space on your Mac’s hard-drive.

To enable Quick Cleaner to do its work, you must first click the Start Scan button and provide the application with the Home Folder’s location.

The application will then scan your Mac’s hard-drive and display a list of unnecessary files classified in the following categories: Trash, Downloads, Mail Downloads, Logs, Caches, Old iPhone, iPad, and iPod Updates, and Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari Cookies and History.

By clicking the View button from each entry’s right side, you can select which specific files you want to be deleted and which to be kept. By clicking the Open button, you can open the unwanted files via the Finder in their original location.

After this is done and you are sure what exact files you want to delete, simply click the “Delete Files” button from the bottom of Quick Cleaner’s main window. Lastly, the process is completed with the application showing you a status report with the amount of space successfully freed and the number of deleted files.
