Effortlessly cut, paste, search, or copy text snippets via a discreet bar
Each time you select a piece of text in any application, PopClip shows its bar on top of the text snippet, and you can easily click on the function you want to use. If the text is editable, the PopClip bar includes the Cut and Paste options, while otherwise it will show only the Search and Copy buttons.
Moreover, depending on the data type, you can choose to follow an URL, open a new email message addressed to a specific contact, or search the current word in the Dictionary. However, you also have the option to extend the application’s capabilities by installing various extensions: find one that suits your needs on the developer’s website.
Streamline your workflow by quickly accessing frequently used tools
The best part is that PopClip also offers you the possibility to create your own extensions (the necessary documentation is available on GitHub): this is extremely useful if you want to reduce the time spent performing repetitive tasks. Via the PopClip Preferences you can also modify the extensions order, or even disable the ones you do not need.
Other customization options include the possibility to adjust the PopClip bar size, or to hide the status bar menu. Furthermore, PopClip offers you the possibility to disable the bar for certain apps: simply add the utilities you want to be ignored to the appropriate list.
User friendly software solution for quickly accessing a wide range of text processing tools
PopClip is a minimalist Mac app that can provide access to a large collection of tools designed to streamline your workflow. Browse the available extensions database or use the available documentation to develop one that matches your needs. All in all, PopClip is great to have around if you want to perform custom text management actions in an intuitive manner.
