Be Focused For Mac

The Pomodoro technique is designed to help you make the most out of your working time: by taking short yet frequent breaks, both your focus and your productivity level will increase. Be Focused (formerly Pomodoro Time) is a minimalist OS X utility designed to help you incorporate the Pomodoro technique into your own workflow without having to deal with a complex setup.

Upon launch, Be Focused places a small menulet into your status bar that grants access to a stylish panel where you can organize your upcoming tasks. The app automatically adds a timer to each entry, which you can start with a simple mouse click.

By default, a working session has 25 minutes, a short break has 5 minutes, and a long break has 15 minutes. You will take a long break after 4 pomodoros, and your target is to complete 10 pomodoros for each task.

Via the Settings panel you have the possibility to quickly change the duration of these time periods: you get to increase or decrease the pomodoro timer, the break duration, the number of pomodoros you must complete to take a long break, and so on.

The same area allows you to enable the chronometer sound effect, to decide if you want to see completion notifications, or if the timer should be included in the status bar menulet. You get to set your own hotkeys for starting or skipping the timer.

Be Focused helps you increase your productivity level by making sure you are always working efficiently: by taking short but frequent breaks you will be able to focus better on the task at hand. The app is fairly easy to use, and allows you to monitor as many tasks as you like.
