PhotoBee For Mac

The images and videos that you are receiving via the Apple Messages application are not automatically stored locally. PhotoBee is a minimalist Mac OS X application designed to help you export these types of attachments to your local drive with minimal effort.

Working with the PhotoBee utility is as simple as just launching the application: the tool scans on its own for images and videos received by the currently active Messages account, and provides a list of available media files.

PhotoBee displays the number of identified attachments, their name and size, the date when you have received them, and the sender account. PhotoBee also generates a small thumbnail.

Within the PhotoBee main window, you get to quickly sort the Messages attachment files by taking into account the sender profile. Of course, you can also view all detected image and video files, regardless of who sent them.

From the bottom left corner of the PhotoBee main window, you can choose to export all the items at the same time, or you can choose to extract only the currently selected ones.

Noteworthy is that you cannot handle multiple Messages accounts at the same time: to scan a different account, you must log out within the Messages app, and connect again using a different account.

PhotoBee offers you the possibility to quickly export all the images and videos received via the Apple Messages app to your local drive in order to make sure that you will always have access to them.

The app’s workflow is extremely user-friendly and should be easy to use even by inexperienced users. However, the utility does not integrate a refresh function, so if you want to backup content that you have just received, you must restart PhotoBee.
