Pastebot is a clipboard manager that automatically records all your clippings so you can use them again at a later time without navigating back and forth between multiple documents.

Pastebot comes with an organizing tool that can be used to put together clippings associated with the same project. The tool integrates a search bar and enables you to apply custom content filters.

As soon as you launch the Pastebot application, the utility will start recording your clippings, and you can browse them either via the app’s main window or through the clipboard panel.

For security reasons, the Keychain Access application is included by default in the list of utilities that will not be monitored by Pastebot. However, you can extend the list to include other apps that handle sensitive information.

Pastebot resides in your status bar, and you can activate the clipboard viewer either by clicking on the menulet icon or by using the system-wide hotkey. Note that you can organize clippings into groups in the app’s main window: you can create as many pasteboards as yo like.

Within the Pastebot Preferences window, you can also define personalized hotkeys for each user created pasteboards, for pasting the previous clipping, for opening the filter window, or to paste with the last filter.

Other customization options include the possibility to switch between the light and dark theme, or toggle between the single and multi-line text. Pastebot can ignore the clippings that are larger than a user defined value, and you can choose to hide either the Dock or the menubar icon.

Pastebot also provides support for processing the clippings content: just define custom filters, and the utility will help you apply them to the current selection in no time.This way you can quickly encode or decode URLs, convert the punctuation, change the text formatting, and so on.

Bottom line, besides recording your clipboard activity, Pastebot also allows you to create collections of frequently used clippings related to the same subject that you can access in a more streamlined manner.

Pastebot offers you the possibility to create custom filters and handle text or URL processing tasks, among other things, just as quickly: you get to apply the filters on the spot.
