PDF documents are great for sharing information because they are able to retain the original layout regardless of the operating system. However, editing the data contained in a PDF file is not precisely easy without the right tools.

At the same time, using PDFs for your presentations might turn out problematic because most document’s pages are not designed to cover the entire screen. PDF to PPT is a simple Mac app designed to help you avoid these issues by quickly converting the PDFs to Microsoft PowerPoint compatible files.

The PDF to PPT user interface resumes to a single window that provides access to all the app’s capabilities. The top window toolbar contains buttons for all the basic tools: import PDF, remove PDF, remove all PDFs, and start the conversion.

The main area is reserved for displaying the files that will be converted, together with their complete path. The same section provides access to the documents settings panel where you can specify which pages should be exported, and displays the progress status during the conversion process.

Before PDF to PPT starts converting the PDF documents, you must specify an output directory: this setting must be performed each time you want to convert a file and you can choose any folder from your disk drive.

PDF to PPT also provides support for a couple of basic hotkeys: Command + S to import PDFs, the delete key to remove files and Option + P to send the currently selected PDF to the Preview.app .

PDF to PPT does not provide a wide range of capabilities or extensive customization options, but it will prove very useful if you need to convert your PDFs to a more easily editable file format. Keep in mind that, for best results, you must use PDF documents that are not locked or password protected.
