PALifier 2.0

PALifier is a simple application for iBook owners, so that applications don't switch to NTSC mode on a PAL television. If the current setting is NTSC, it will change the screen to a PAL mode with identical resolution and colour depth.

This is extremely useful for iBook users who connect to a PAL tv and want to use a fullscreen application. Most applications when switching to fullscreen mode will select NTSC by default (perhaps because it has a higher refresh rate?) and you will be left with a black-and-white image on the tv. PALifier will fix this by subsequently changing back to PAL mode.
