Outlook Mac Archive Tool for Mac
In time, your mailbox storage space fills up, leaving you with two choices: either delete older messages and lose parts of your correspondence, or archive the data. Of course, the latter is highly advisable because you never know when you might need information received in an old email.
Store email and calendar data locally with the help of multiple archiving modes
If you are using Outlook 2011 as your email desktop client, the app offers you the possibility to store some of your messages locally, in order to gain more Inbox space. Outlook Mac Archive Tool is a simple Mac OS X tool that is able to automate the transfer, taking into account various criteria.
Outlook Mac Archive Tool is capable to communicate with the Outlook 2011 application and can apply different archiving configurations. You have the opportunity to process multiple email accounts, specify how old should the messages be to activate the transfer, choose to process only certain folders, and exclude specific directories.
Customizable archiving rules for the Cloud
In addition, you can choose to archive the sub-folders of excluded directories, or leave out incomplete tasks, or certain Outlook categories. Moreover, you also get to archive calendar events that are older than a certain number of days (including recurring events).
If you do not want to archive your emails locally, you can create a new email account and then setup Outlook Mac Archive Tool to transfer the archived emails to the new account.
Simply add the new account in Outlook 2011 and then provide the account name to Outlook Mac Archive Tool (you will find the appropriate field in the Cloud Archive tab placed in the Configuration panel).
Easy to use utility for automatically archiving your Outlook 2011 content
Outlook Mac Archive Tool is a great tool to have around if you want to make sure that your Inbox will always have enough free space for new emails. Since the app includes scheduling capabilities, after the initial setup, Outlook Mac Archive Tool should be able to take care of everything on its own.
