Open in Terminal is a free app that will open a new terminal window with the working directory depending on the frontmost context.
The frontmost context means: · If Finder is the frontmost application, the working directory is Finder's selected location. · If a document window opened with a certain application is the frontmost window, the folder containing the file will be the working directory of the opened Terminal window.
Because the behavior of Open in Terminal depends on the frontmost application, Open in Terminal must be executed in the background. For example: · Execute with Script menu. · Execute with Quicksilver. · Register Open in Terminal to DragThing and execute it with a hot key.
