OneWaySync For Mac

OneWaySync is a really easy-to-use Mac utility designed to synchronize a source folder on your Mac with a target folder. The synchronization is not mutual, however, meaning that the app only copies the data from the source to the target folder and not vice versa.

You can use OneWaySync to backup and sync your data from a location to another with just one click. If you’re familiar with online syncing, you won’t have a problem understanding how the app works.

To break it down for you, here is how OneWaySync works: after changing or adding files / folders in both a source and target location, and then hitting the Start button, the changed or added files / folders in the source directory will be copied to the target directory, but the ones in the target location will not.

You can create 14 different folder pairs which are called slots in the app’s interface. Speaking of the GUI, it’s extremely simple, as it consists of the slot numbers, folder areas, start button and a few options. Moreover, folders can be added with a simple drag and drop.

Another OneWaySync worth mentioning feature is the ability to delete synced data after it was copied. This makes it easier to keep the source folder clean and uncluttered. What’s more, even hidden files can be copied, if you choose so.

In addition to all of the above, the OneWaySync application can also create logs of the synced data. After a successful sync, just click on the green ‘check’ button to open the TXT log file that displays what was moved and when.

Although it cannot automatically sync data, OneWaySync is still one of the easiest apps to sync two folders in a single direction. Its highlights are the intuitive and minimal user interface, multiple folder pairs and the detailed log of the copied data.
