OmniDiskSweeper For Mac

OmniDiskSweeper is an easy-to-use and practical macOS application specially designed to scan your drives and display your files in a descending order based on their size in order for you to remove large and unnecessary items.

OmniDiskSweeper comes with a simple and clean interface from which you can view your drives list and select the volume you wish to sweep. Once the scanning process is completed, you can easily identify the largest files thanks to the color-coded highlighting system.

What is more, OmniDiskSweeper allows you to also analyze only your Home folder or any given folder and discover the items that require the most storage space. The root of the scanned folder or volume is displayed in the first column while the subdirectories are presented in the following folders.

If you wish to view more columns, you just have to drag from OmniDiskSweeper’s corner and resize its window. As mentioned above, all files are sorted according to their size and, as a result, you can easily find the larges files on your drives.

The bottom toolbar offers you information about the selected file, including the exact size on the disk and the file format. The great thing about OmniDiskSweeper, is that you can select multiple files and delete them with the click of a mouse button.

By double clicking on an item, you can reveal it in Finder from where you can further analyze it, open it or delete it from the drive. OmniDiskSweeper allows you to check the contents of various applications if necessary.

In order to prevent accidental deletion of files part of the system, OmniDiskSweeper automatically keeps such files on the panel in the list of Packages the item belongs to. The free disk space and the ordering of the folders and files is automatically recalculated after each change.
