Narrator For Mac

Narrator is a simple to use macOS app designed for one purpose only: to help you listen to any text using your Mac.

In order to do that for you, Narrator requires you to paste your text in the main window of the application. After you press play, the text will be brought to life using the voice synthesis technology.

Of course, you can select different voices, volumes, pitches, rates and inflections for any character you choose to read your text.

If you want to, you can also enable the read-along option, which allows you to read the text out loud, at the same time with the computer.

Narrator is also suitable for professional use, and comes in handy when you take a lot of notes during a meeting and you want to listen to them in order to find the core ideas. On top of that, Narrator allows you to export the speech to iTunes or your iOS enabled device.

Additionally. the Narrator app makes it simple for you to add multiple chapters to a project, if needed. You can also add different voices for certain portions of text, a feature that makes the application suitable for theater and movies.

As an added bonus, you can also change the text fonts and their size if you want to, and modify the text color in order to give certain colors to individual cast members.

In the Preferences window you can choose to read from the start of the chapter or from the insertion point. You can also enable an option which requires you to confirm chapter and character deletion.

Narrator comes with a built-in dictionary that you can tune using replacement rules. You can add as many rules as you want and even listen to the way the application reads words right from the Dictionary preferences.

Once installed on your Mac, Narrator will make it a breeze to convert any text to an audio file, ready to be added to an iTunes playlist of your choice with a simple mouse click.
