NAS Navigator For Mac

If you own a LinkStation or TeraStation from Buffalo, chances are that you will need an easy-to-use utility capable to scan your network for such devices.

LinkStation and TeraStation are network-attached storage devices, or NAS for short, produced by Buffalo INC, one of the fourth-teen subsidiaries of Melco Holdings INC.

NAS Navigator is the user-friendly and unobtrusive utility provided by Buffalo in order to help you scan the network for LinkStations and TeraStations from within an intuitive interface.

NAS Navigator is available for free on the App Store and can be easily installed with just a mouse click. After installing NAS Navigator you will lose about 9 MB of your Mac's hard disk space. If you are upgrading from an earlier version it is recommended to uninstall the older version first and than install the newer one.

From NAS Navigator's main window you will be able to scan for NAS devices and view them in a simple or thumbnail list.

In the bottom panel you will be able to view detailed information about the selected network-attached storage device such as available space, workgroup name, IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Mac Address and Firmware version.

The "Settings" slide menu helps you open the web settings, configure the Auto Power Mode settings, shut down the selected device or assign a color label. The available colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and gray.

By accessing the File menu, you can rescan for devices or open the folder and browse files on the selected NAS device.

From NAS Navigator's status bar menu you can quickly and easily start the rescan process or quit the app.

In conclusion, NAS Navigator is a must have utility especially if you have a LinkStation or TeraStation device and you want to find, control or configure it.
