If you’re a cinema aficionado, you probably have a movie collection stored somewhere in your computer. Although plenty of apps exist to help you organize your films, not many of them include a database with comprehensive details.

My Movies is an macOS application for adding, sorting and managing large collections of movies. My Movies comes with a database of over 725.000 DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD English as well as foreign titles.

Keep in mind that an account is required before being able to use My Movies to access the online web app and the movie database.

My Movies provides a great number of features for flexible movie collection management. You can sort your owned films by various criteria: for Keeps, for Sale, for Trade, for Trade or Sale, Pre-Owned, Ordered, Wished, Rented and Pre-Rented.

You can manually add movie entries or use the integrated database to search for titles, and add them to your collection with just a click.

The following movie information can be added: details (country, type, barcode, media type, production year, aspect ratio, genre, etc.), descriptions, disks, subtitles, audiotracks, actors, covers and personal notes (for keeping / rent / sale / trade and more).

My Movies features an intuitive and easy-to-navigate user interface which displays the movie groups, as well as details for each entry. You can also view the movie entries as a list, wall or coverflow and sort them by title, rating, running time, etc.

From the upper toolbar, you can access several buttons for commonly used actions, such as adding new titles, synchronizing, deleting, previewing or editing entries.

A few extra features include iMDB ratings and a button to open movies directly on iMDB (in your default browser), and social network sharing support for Facebook and Twitter.
