Did you know that a loose gas cap can turn on your check engine light? Save a trip to the dealer by clearing that code yourself with Movi.

Anytime a malfunction is detected by your vehicle, a "trouble code" is stored in the engine control module. Certain criteria has to be met to set this code. This trouble code gives a technician a place to start their diagnosis to properly fix your vehicles' problem.

Now you can access these codes, retrieve the engine sensors' freeze frame data (data that was stored at the time the fault occured), and clear this information which turns that light off.

Movi is a software product designed for Mac OS X which in combination with an OBD II hardware interface that uses the ELM327 chip, provides communication with a vehicles engine diagnostic system. This product is solely intended to interpret the information which is stored in or relayed to the Onboard Diagnostics (OBD) system.

The Movi software will diagnose “check engine” lights and retrieve live data infinitely as long as the softwares computer requirements and vehicle make are met.

Movi is able to turn off a “check engine” light only. All other in dash lights, such as ABS, Air Bag, etc, lights currently are not read or affected by Movi.

NOTE: To buy Movi via the App Store an Apple account is required.

Requirements:

· PowerPC G4 or G5 or Intel Core duo processor.
· 512MB RAM.
· 10MB free hard-disk space.
· An OBD 2 interface cable
· An OBD 2 compliant vehicle

Limitations:

· Will identify if there is an error code stored in your vehicle and will allow you to view live engine data. To get the error code Parameter ID (PID), PID description, or to clear the error code, you must purchase the full version.
