Moadim For Mac

Moadim is designed to be a companion application for practicing Jews because it quickly translates current dates from the Gregorian calendar to Hebrew dates. At the same time, you have access to the weekly Torah and to the Daily aliyah prayers.

Moadim comes with a minimalist user interface which means that you should find your way around quite fast. In the app’s main window you can view the current monthly calendar: the Western dates are translated to the Hebrew dates and you can see additional details about the Jewish calendar in the bottom right corner.

By clicking on a specific date, you can visualize the daily Aliyah translated to English. Of course, you can easily navigate between monthly views by using the arrow buttons placed in the top window area.

Upon launch, Moadim asks for your current location so that it can accurately calculate the prayer times. For your convenience, the app comes with a list of predefined cities, but you can easily add custom locations by providing the exact latitude and longitude coordinates.

Since Moadim comes with iPad and iPhone counterpart applications, which are also available free of charge, you will be able to keep track of the day’s prayer times even if your are on the go.

Moadim is capable to quickly translate Western calendar dates into Hebraic dates, and automatically calculates the praying times according to your location. At the same time, it provides access to the Torah text, which is divided into weekly parasha. Moreover, you can also read the daily Aliyah text in English.
