MessHider For Mac

Our Mac’s desktop becomes cluttered with all sorts of files, folders and applications, and more often than not we need to clean it up before a presentation. You could hide all opened applications by creating a folder with all desktop items but you will have to put them back, preferably in the same order, after your presentations is done. Thanks to MessHider, there is a second, much simpler option.

MessHider is a very light and extremely easy to use application that promises to help you hide all your desktop items along with all opened applications and windows with a new and clean desktop that you can lay on top of everything else.

When you want to hide your desktop, you just have to launch MessHider and all your desktop icons and opened windows will disappear. You can switch between various applications without displaying your desktop icons.

If you want to access your desktop files and folders you could quit MessHider or just switch to Finder and bring up your Finder windows and desktop icons. You can use the “Hide Others” command while using any other application in order to hide all opened applications including MessHider. This allows you to see your real desktop and access the stored files and folders. When you are done working with your original desktop you can switch back to MessHider and use the “Hide Others” one more time.

The only drawback is that MessHider does not allow you to customize the wallpaper of the cover desktop and use one of your pictures as a background image. Otherwise, MessHider is a practical and user-friendly application that promises to help you hide your mess and go on with your work or presentation without revealing all your desktop icons.
