MenuAndDockless For Mac

The SIMBL plug-in integrates with your operating system and enables you to customize your Mac’s behavior by using other third party plug-ins. MenuAndDockless is an unobtrusive SIMBL plug-in that offers you the possibility to choose if you want to see the menu bar or the Dock for any Cocoa native app.

The MenuAndDockless software package also includes the SIMBL plug-in installer, which you must deploy beforehand. Naturally, the package also includes the MenuAndDockless installer which reduces the process to following on screen instructions (keep in mind that the password for your admin account is required).

To be able to actually see the MenuAndDockless options, which will be included in the Window menu of each Cocoa native application, you must either restart your Mac, or at least the app for which you want to personalize the behavior.

Working with the MenuAndDockless plug-in proves to be fairly intuitive: simply navigate to the Window menu of any Cocoa app and select the functions you want to enable. You have the option to toggle the Dock and menu bar, or the floating window or fullscreen modes. At the same time, you can effortlessly resize the current window by using one of the predefined patterns.

Last but not least, via the MenuAndDockless Settings panel, you can customize the default keyboard shortcuts for different actions, or save and restore the default window frame.

MenuAndDockless proposes simple solutions for organizing and customizing the way in which Cocoa apps deal with certain system functions: you can choose to hide or reveal the menu bar and the Dock, you get to easily resize windows, you can save and restore the widow states, and so on.
