SystemPal is a low-key and well-designed application that provides the necessary tools and features required to track your Mac’s CPU and RAM usage along with the fan and network speed and CPU temperature. On top of that, SystemPal features a screenshot utility, memory cleaner and an iTunes controller.

By accessing SystemPal’s status bar menu, you can view the amount of free, inactive, active and wired RAM along with the fan RPM value, upload and download speed, CPU temperature and the applications that consume the most CPU or RAM resources. You can also access the Toolkit panel from which you can launch the Mini Music Player, the Screen Shot utility and Activity Monitor.

The Screen Shot utility helps you capture a window, part of your screen or the entire desktop and save your screenshots to clipboard or desktop with just a few mouse clicks. Thanks to the Mini Music Player you can control iTunes, play or pause tracks, rate songs, view the song artwork, name and artist along with the lyrics.

SystemPal helps you view and understand the RAM and CPU usage thanks to an animated memory usage pie chart and a CPU process chart. You can also check the network status and view the uploading and downloading speed. When you run low on RAM you can always use the built-in RAM cleaner to free some memory or you can enable the auto-cleaning memory feature and let SystemPal take care of the cleaning process.
