editor's review

Gelatin is an efficient Mac OS X application designed to merge multiple files. It supports documents (PDF, RTF, TXT), audio tracks (MP4, MP3, AIFF), videos (MOV, M4V, MP4) and images (BMP, TIFF, PNG, JPG, JPEG and GIF). The great thing is that merging can be done with just a simple drag and drop.

Working with Gelatin is like a walk in the park because it automatically handles your files. First of all, just drag and drop them onto the compact user interface and then the app displays the list of files below the interface.

Moreover, you can also adjust the order of the files by clicking on corresponding small triangle icons and remove any file using the X icon. After everything is set, clicking on the triangle icon to the right of the progress bar will start the process.

Files are merged very quickly and you can choose a name and output folder before exporting them. In addition to this, you can also command the app to start the merging automatically via the preferences.

Additional options include quitting, focusing and beeping when done, enabling reordering as well as animation. Furthermore, you also have an option to merge images horizontally and to automatically order the split files.

To conclude, Gelatin is a powerful application that can quickly merge documents, songs, videos and images. It provides support for a total of 15 different formats that are handled automatically. If you need a fast tool to merge your files, you might love this one.
