Ink2Go For Mac

There is no easier way to highlight something on your desktop than to draw directly on your screen, whether it’s for personal use, a presentation, or recording a tutorial.

Ink2Go is suitable for all those jobs, and it’s very easy to use. It allows you to draw and write on your screen using a diverse set of tools, as well as record your entire desktop or portions of it.

The app’s UI consists of a rather basic toolbar, which can be pinned to the edge of the screen or moved anywhere, as needed. It contains all the tools you’ll use for drawing and recording, and it can be minimized to avoid cluttering your desktop.

While it’s easy to use and doesn’t take up too much space, the toolbar’s design and icons don’t exactly blend well with recent version of the macOS interface.

Once the app is brought up, you can select any of the drawing tools to get started. You get a pen, a marker, a shape creator, text insertion tool, and eraser. At any time, you can select the cursor to interact with Finder or other apps.

There are several customization options for each tool, but it doesn’t seem to be possible to modify items after they’ve been drawn. For instance, if you might want to change a shape’s color, or the position of some text, you can’t do so.

This particular feature is great for creating tutorials or recording a presentation. It allows you to select the area of the screen that will be captured, and you can even include a webcam view, which can be moved around freely.

Ink2Go works well as a general-purpose annotation and screen recording tool, though it could use a few more drawing features and an updated user interface.
