HideMyDesktop lets you choose a window in the color of your choice as well as an image of your choice, that will be displayed on the top of your desktop.
The main idea behind the HideMyDesktop app is to allow you to easily customize your desktop when you need a clear workspace. By covering it with a background color or an image, you can avoid the visual disturbance.
NOTE: HideMyDesktop can only be purchased via the Mac App Store (the download link redirects you to its App Store page). To purchase/download applications via the App Store an Apple account is required.
