Timey For Mac

Timey is a minimalist timer app for macOS that resides in your status bar and can be started or reset with a simple mouse click. Moreover, Timey comes with a Notification Center extension that allows you to place the timer in the Today panel.

By default, Timey places the timer in the status bar and you get to see the icon for the settings panel right next to it. However, if you choose to move the timer to the Notification Center panel, the status bar will retain only the settings menulet.

Timey can work in two modes: as a timer, or as a stopwatch. Switching between the two is seamless, and most settings apply to both modes. Nonetheless, you do have to set a time interval for the timer mode.

To start or pause a timer or a stopwatch, all you have to do is click with your mouse on top of the counter representation in the status bar. On the other hand, a right click will reset the counter.

Within the Timey Settings panel you get to choose to show the timer only in the Today view, which will save up some status bar space but you won’t be able to see its progress at a glance.

To see the timer in the Notification Center, you must activate the appropriate widget via the standard procedure. Once everything is in place, you will be able to use the timer in the Today panel like you would do in the status bar.

To sum up, Timey offers you the option to deploy timers or stopwatch counters via the status bar, in your Notification Center panel, or in fullscreen mode, depending on your needs. On completion, Timey will trigger both visual and sound alerts.
