GIF2MOV is a one-click solution for Mac OS X that makes it possible to convert animated GIF files with transparent background into MOV files with transparent layer using the PNG codec.
The GIF2MOV app was developed with the scope of allowing one to insert animated GIFs to Keynote presentations without the white background.
One way to remove the white background in GIF animations when adding them into a Keynote presentation slide is to convert them to MOV files first.
What’s more, the GIF file is affected by the PNG codec in the conversion process, which allows for the white layer to be removed in the resulting MOV file.
GIF2MOV features a standard-looking OS X user interface where you can simply add and preview your GIF animation, but also to change the frame duration, select an option to clean the previous frame and to adjust the default background color.
Once all the settings are configured, just click the “Convert to QuickTime PNG codec button”.
Taking everything into consideration, GIF2MOV is an OS X app that provides a simple method to enjoy beautiful GIF animations into your Keynote presentation by converting them to MOV files.
In the process, the white background of the GIF will be removed and the MOV file can be modified with all Keynote properties.
