Fitster is a Mac OS X app designed to help you improve both your health and your productivity level by periodically taking short brakes and perform different office friendly exercises.
Unobtrusive break timer that includes workout routines
Upon installation, Fitster resides in your status bar menu and counts down to the next workout session: when the timer is over, it will display a notification screen, and then covers your desktop with instructions for exercises that can be performed around the office.
By default, the Fitster timer is set to 30 minutes, but you can easily adjust the time period via the Fitster Settings panel: you can choose to have a break once every 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, or 90 minutes. However, the workout time length remains the same: about 2 minutes.
Provides a wide range of exercises suitable for the office
The Fitster Preferences window enables you to personalize your workout sessions by allowing you to choose the type of exercises you want to perform. The app includes exercises that target your muscles, your hands, that help you to stretch, or that give you energy, over 30 different entries in total.
If your keyboard or mouse are not used for a certain period of time, Fitster automatically resets the timer. Moreover, you have the possibility to postpone workouts, and you can change the trainer in the illustrations.
