Take control over your files and manage them with ease
The light, discreet and powerful application provides quick and instantaneous access to a wide variety of tools and features, all from within a small, clean and intuitive interface. The best part is that FilePane lives in your Mac’s status bar from where you can customize it based on your preferences.
FilePane can be activated using simple drag and drop mouse gestures or via a user-definable keyboard shortcut, but it does not allow you to use both methods and, as a result, you are forced to choose one or the other.
Regardless of your option, FilePane will prove to be very responsive and user-friendly when it comes to managing and sharing various files and even archives.
Effortlessly change your wallpaper, resize pictures and share files
With FilePane’s help you have the power to set the selected picture as your desktop background, view the file size, copy the file path to clipboard and resize it to any given resolution. Moreover, you can convert text files into PDF and vice versa, move and share files via AirDrop, email Twitter or Facebook.
On top of that, FilePane enables you to archive files or move them to new folders, print text files and save text snippets to TXT files, copy them to clipboard, use them to create a new mail or share them via Facebook or Twitter.
Assign a custom hot key and allow to start at login
By accessing FilePane’s status bar menu, you can turn on or off the app, configure it to start at login and use the black and white menu bar icon. As mentioned above, you also have the option to choose an activation method and assign an activation hot key.
Throughout our testing period, FilePane performed exemplarily and impressed us with its long list of tools and features. Hopefully, future updates will allow users to enable both activation methods at the same time and provide the option to hide the status bar icon.
