Fenêtre For Mac

Fenêtre is an unobtrusive and very simple to use macOS application designed to help you keep a window containing video, a document, a photo, or a website on top of all other windows on your Mac's desktop.

Once launched on your computer, Fenêtre will add a status bar menu which gives you quick access to all of its features via a couple of mouse clicks.

Unfortunately, although unneeded, Fenêtre also adds a dock icon which will not bring any extra functionality to the app.

Fenêtre allows you to load the mobile version of any website automatically by drag and dropping the URL on its status bar menu, but you can quickly switch to the desktop version using teach website's built-in platform switch feature.

You can also add any document, photo or video file on your Mac's hard drive by dragging them onto Fenêtre's menu bar item, and, although not mentioned in the app's Mac App Store description, you can also use it as an audio player.

Fenêtre's full version allows you to click through its always on top window and open the current Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome tab using the app's web browser extension.

The always on top windows you can open using Fenêtre also come with customizable opacity to make it easier to follow what happens behind them. As an added advantage, you can collapse all the windows you set to stay on top using Fenêtre if you no longer need them on top of your all other desktop content.

Last but not least, the Fenêtre app makes it possible to open as many windows as you want and will keep a history so that you can open them again if you need to.

Using Fenêtre might just make it easier to keep a close eye on a documentation page while working or a training video to get the job correctly.
