FTRD For Mac

The Hand Computer iOS application is designed to help users memorize various concepts, regardless of the domain, by making use of various flashcard collections. FTRD is a minimalist Mac app that can help you make your own hierarchical flashcard sets for the Hand Computer app.

FTRD is able to work with multiple documents by opening a new window for each CSV file. To work on pre-existent documents all you have to do is drag an drop them on top of the app’s Dock icon.

On the other hand, if you decide to start working on a new project, all the inserted data will be saved to a new CSV document. These files must be transferred to your iPhone and fed to the Hand Computer app, but keep in mind that you must have the FTRD iOS app also installed on the device.

FTRD allows you to create flashcard sets covering various subjects: simply input the data that should be displayed on the front of the card, and then attach the backside content. FTRD also allows you to add subitems to each entry: this way you can effortlessly create hierarchical sets.

The application comes with a fairly intuitive design and you should be able to find your way around quite easily. However, if you encounter any issues you will have to manage on your own, because the app does not come with any type of documentation.

Since the Hand Computer iOS application is using CSV documents, you could be editing them via any text editor. However, FTRD proposes a more user friendly solution for dealing with this task.
