Like many other Adobe applications, Adobe Extension Manager comes with its own installer which reduces the process to simply following the on-screen instructions. Note that Adobe Extension Manager is able to process only ZXP extensions, and cannot handle the older MXP file format.
However, the Adobe Extension Manager CS6 version includes a conversion tool that enables you to quickly transform MXP extensions to ZXP files: simply navigate to the Tools menu and select the appropriate option.
