Set Erroneous to open when a Video DVD is inserted and it will provide you with the choice of opening it with VLC, Apple's DVD Player, Trans Lucy, Mplayer, HandBrake, or MacTheRipper.

VLC can be used to play DVDs with different region codes than the one that Apple's DVD Player has been set to.
