Ecm for Mac
One can use the ECM (Error Code Modeler) file format to compress different CD images in order to reduce their size. These types of files are normally used when you need to create backups.
At the same time, ECM is also a small application that offers you the possibility to perform the conversion in no time.
ECM is able to work with popular CD image files, such as BIN, CCD, CDI, CDR, ISO or NRG. To import these CD images you can simply drag and drop the files on top of the ECM main window or you can use the entries in main File menu.
The next step is to set up the output file name and location (the app will generate and ECM file) and then press the Convert button from the bottom right corner of the main window. When the process is over, ECM will display a confirmation message.
Moreover, you can analyze the way in which ECM has dealt with the CD image file in the Logs panel. To start over, simply press the Clear button from the top toolbar and import a new file.
ECM is reducing the CDM image file size by removing the Error Correction and Detection Codes from different sectors, if possible. The process is possible for any file that is using raw sectors.
All in all, ECM is a very intuitive and easy to use application that offers you the possibility to reduce the size of CD image files and convert them to the ECM file format.
