EasyFind For Mac

EasyFind is a minimalist yet very powerful alternative to Spotlight and enables you to quickly find specific files and folders. The application does not need to index your Mac’s content, is able to find the items by name or by content, and offers you the possibility to refine the results by applying multiple filters.

The EasyFind Mac application works flawlessly right out of the box and you will be able to find your way around its main window with minimal effort. Right off the bat, you must input the search criteria, adjust the filter settings, and select the disk or folder you want to analyze.

The main area of the EasyFind main window is reserved for displaying the items that match the query: you will be able to see their names, the creation and modification date, the files size and kind, but also the full disk path.

For your convenience, EasyFind enables you to decide which type of entries should be included in the results list: Files&Folders, Only Files, Only Folders, or File Contents. Moreover, it can display items that contain all the words included in the query, or any of them. The search  query can also be a phrase or a Unix-Wildcard.

You can choose to ignore cases, umlauts or fuzzy items, or you can decide to include package contents or invisible files and folders. Moreover, in the Settings panel, you are able to adjust the list of file types that will be analyzed when searching File Contents.

EasyFind is a great tool to have around if you need to find specific files or folders without too much hustle. The application can query for multiple terms, allows you to apply various filters, and enables you to open or see the items in a Finder window without too much effort.
