DEVONsphere Express For Mac

DEVONsphere Express is a status bar menu application developed by DEVONtechnologies that works well with most macOS applications and enables you to find related documents, emails, or URLs.

Right off the bat, you must allow DEVONsphere Express to index certain folders and file types: once the process is over, you will be able to search for related elements via a simple search bar, or have the application generate correlations on its own.

The installation procedure resumes to simply unzipping the archive: of course, you can copy the utility to the Applications directory to keep everything organized.

At launch, DEVONsphere Express places a menu in your status bar which allows you to quickly access the app’s results panel, the search bar, and the Settings window. By default, the indexing procedure must be triggered manually, through the Settings panel.

For your convenience, the app can automatically launch the indexing  process at start up, or once every hour / day / week. You get to personalize the search results by choosing which file categories or disk folders should be scanned by DEVONsphere Express.

Although the app comes with a search tool, all you have to do to find items related to your current activity is press the icon in the menu bar: the app automatically generates a list of connected items.

DEVONsphere Express is designed to be completely unobtrusive while offering you the possibility to detect unexpected correlations between different documents, emails, websites, audio tracks, and more.

The best part is that you get to easily customize the results by manually deciding which parts of your computer are to be indexed, hence included in the search.
