A feature-rich and polished OS X utility that optimizes your file transfers on your Mac and allows you to efficiently manage download queues. #File transfer #Download manager #Copy file #Transfer #Copy #FTP
CopyQueue is a streamlined macOS application designed to enable you to quickly transfer files between different locations on your Mac’s disk, to a FTP server and download file links from the web. It also comes with extra functions, such as scheduled transfers, bandwidth limiting and checking the integrity of copied files.
The advantage of working with CopyQueue is that it copies files one by one, unlike the Finder, which transfers multiple files at the same time, slowing down your system. This app provides a more efficient and faster way to copy files by handling one file at a time.
The application is highly intuitive, and you will be up and running in no time after the installation. From the main window you can add files to be transferred or just drag and drop them onto the user interface. Moreover, tile list of files to be copied can be saved into a queue and exported as a .queue file on your disk.
Saving and reusing a transfer queue has its benefits, such as loading it another time when you’re not busy with anything else. In addition to this, each transfer can be paused.
CopyQueue can also remember this information when saving queues. This makes the app more useful when transferring large files, and you need to close your computer, for instance.
It brings another new function, that of adjusting the speed of transfers. Using this feature, you can improve your Mac’s performance or reduce network bandwidth usage. You can easily set the speed from a built-in slider.
Another important feature is CopyQueue's ability to schedule transfers and speed limits. You can command the app to start / stop copying files in a queue and start / stop a predefined speed limit at any time. On the downside, days, weeks or months are not supported.
To sum it all up, the application delivers a great alternative to copying files on your Mac. It supports local transfers, FTP transfers and even web links. It can also pause and re-schedule downloads, set speed limits and verify transferred files.
