Keeping track of courses, students lists and their grades is no easy task: iTeacher is a small Mac app designed to simplify the process by allowing you to create a centralized document for all your courses.
Working with iTeacher should be fairly straightforward but, if you cannot find your way around the application, the developers also provide an extensive documentation area on their website.
When you launch the application you must decide if you want to create a new document or if you want to open a recent projects. Either way, you will be directed to the iTeacher main window where you can easily view your courses or students in list form.
What’s more, you are able to keep track of your schedule and you can manage the contacts imported from your AddressBook application.
For each course, iTeacher allows you to store the name, the grading system, a short description and enables you to create student groups. At the same, you are able to manage the grades for different exams, keep an attendance list, make separate grading or check lists, or view all the students enrolled in that course.
In addition, you also have the possibility to store various details about each student: the first and last name, the birth date, the gender, the attended classes or contact info (email, mobile, phone, street, ZIP and city).
Last but not least, the iTeacher Schedule panel allows you to create a centralized representation of your activity. The best part is that you can set up the default period time to a custom value (navigate to the Settings panel).
To sum up, iTeacher can be used to create a centralized database reflecting your entire teaching activity and enables you to keep track of your schedule, courses, students, grading lists and much more.
