Via a small status bar menu you can easily toggle the desktop icon’s visibility, or you can access the app’s Preferences window and setup a hotkey for triggering the action.

What’s more, you can decide to place the Camouflage icon in the Dock and deactivate the status bar menu: this way you can activate the wallpaper and hide the desktop icons with a single mouse click.
