CM Note Keeper for Mac
CM Note Keeper is a Mac OS X note taking application which enables you to write down anything you want to remember, such as vocabularies, journals, daily notes, reminders, storied, recipes, etc. The app also enables you to organize and list notes based on several parameters, such as creation date and category.
The user interface of CM Note Keeper looks similar to a standard email client. Thus, the note categories / folders are available on the left pane, the most common actions can be accessed via the top toolbar, and the note list and contents are available in the central pane.
Furthermore, you can see the number of notes to the right of each category name. Clicking once on a note will open it in a pane below the note list. If you click twice, it will open in a different window where you can edit it by entering the category, subject, source and the contents.
Like most note taking apps on the market, CM Note Keeper provides various formatting options, including typeface, paragraph style and different fonts and colors. The great part is that you can also insert images in your notes. In addition, a note’s exact date and time are saved after creating it.
Other advantages of using the application is that you can import, export, print notes and note lists, speak as well as duplicate notes. Moreover, notes can be sorted in the column view by category, remarks, source, date stamp and index. A handy search function is also part of the app’s workflow.
On the whole, CM Note Keeper has all the right ingredients of a good note keeping app. However, it could use a more stylish user interface and support for internal hotkeys for performing basic actions. Other than that, the app can be definitely put to good use by people who want to store and access information.
